Jesus Christ! Thank god I watched that clip. Here I was getting all uppity thinking I was an actual, worth while person who could vote, own property, etc... But now I understand my place in the world. Scantily clad T & A that does not advance an actual or imagined plot line.
Seeing crap like this it makes me reflect on how media affects relationships between people. I think there is a trend, fellas feel free to disagree, but I would say there is a correlation between the consumption of media that objectifies women and ability to have a relationship with an actual woman. I think there is a similar relationship between women who read romance novels that idealize men, though the numbers are much smaller than the fan-boys.
When I reflect on the men I've met and been able to get to know, the consumption of anime, porn, manga, and god knows what else, correlates with their ability to interact well with women and general and in a relationship setting in general. Of course the causation could be simply social inability period or being ostracized by their peers. Therefore they turn to other forms of intimacy.
I think moderation is everything and when over utilized can simply exacerbate the underlying problem of socialization. I see a danger in letting fantasy overrun reality. What disappointment is in store when life is discovered to require work! It's similar to magazines aimed at women that promise to teach us the secrets of the orgasm in 4 simple steps, touching him there to be his best ever, and having 3 overachieving, well-adjusted kids who will all get into Harvard, a full time job, a loving husband, and the perfect house. The inflation of standards endangers reality. The inflation of standards endangers our relationships with others.
