Just caught wind of this off OmniNerd, then read up on Schneier's blog.
I agree could be coincidence but the fact Iran is now isolated seems fishy.

The tinfoil hat crowd is already way ahead of you.
I'm not sure why we would need to cut cables to cut off Iranian internet access before we were to strike. We didn't do it with Iraq. Plus we have more surgical ways of knocking out communications. I'm think it is a series of unfortunate events, or it is a form of sabotage aimed at someone else. The cable cuts have resulted in a high amount of general communications disruption in the Middle East and South Central Asia.
